1968 Jaguar E-Type 4.2 2+2 - Matching Numbers - Long-Term Dry Storage Milford Auto Mall Sales & Service is pleased to offer this beautiful 1968 Jaguar E-Type 4.2 2+2, recently acquired from long-term indoor storage. This E-Type had been stored for an extended period in a dry indoor aircraft hangar, helping preserve what appears to be a remarkably original and complete example. Finished in a beautiful light metallic blue over a dark interior, the color combination suits the lines of the E-Type exceptionally well. The paint still presents very nicely with an attractive shine, and the body retains the unmistakable elegance that has made the E-Type one of the most iconic British sports cars ever built. We have verified the identifying numbers and this car is being represented as a matching-numbers example. It retains a highly original overall presentation, including its 4.2-liter inline-six, 2+2 body configuration, wire wheels, chrome trim, and period interior. After bringing the Jaguar out of storage, we addressed the ignition system and installed a distributor. The engine now starts and runs very smoothly, with no visible smoke noted during operation. We have intentionally not gone further with recommissioning or road testing, as we would prefer to offer the car honestly in its current preserved condition rather than disturb a largely original car unnecessarily. the undercarriage, which presents very nicely and further reflects the benefit of its long-term dry storage.
