This 1969 Jaguar XKE Series II roadster is a non-running project that was purchased new by the seller’s grandfather. The car is finished in British Racing Green over Light Tan leather and is equipped with a 4.2-liter inline-six linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Additional features include a black soft top, a luggage rack, and an AM/FM Radio. This XKE roadster is now offered by the seller on behalf of their father with a car cover and transferable New York registration.
The car is finished in British Racing Green, and exterior equipment includes a black soft top, a driver-side mirror, a luggage rack, wraparound chrome bumpers, bright trim, a louvered clamshell hood, and dual exhaust outlets. The seller notes corrosion around the body.
The 15″ wire wheels are secured by earless knock-offs and are mounted with Goodyear tires measuring 185VR15. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear rotors.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in Light Tan leather along with a color-coordinated center console, door panels, and carpets. Interior appointments include a locking glovebox, an AM/FM radio, and a heater. There are tears on the seats.
The steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline as well as an analog clock and gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 57k miles.
The 4.2-liter inline-six was factory equipped with dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors. The car has been stored for a number of years and the engine is not running.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
