This 1969 Jaguar XKE Series II roadster was dispatched to the US in September 1969 through British Leyland of New York and later sold new in California in 1970. Factory-finished in Regency Red, ahassis 1R10433 was acquired by the current owner in 2025 and subsequently underwent an interior re-trim in tan vinyl. The car is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six equipped with linked with dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors, while shifting is through a four-speed manual transmission linked with a limited-slip differential. It rides on 15″ wire wheels coupled with disc brakes and features open headlights, a louvered clamshell hood, and a black soft top. Additional equipment includes an Alpine stereo, R134a air conditioning, and a heater. This XKE roadster is now offered by CompassRacing—a BaT Local Partner—on behalf of the owner with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, a tool kit, recent service records, and a clean California title in their name.

The Series II XKE featured open headlights along with taillights mounted below the rear bumper. This example left the factory finished in Regency Red and has been fitted with a replacement black soft top. A louvered clamshell hood, a driver-side mirror, wraparound chrome bumpers, and dual exhaust outlets are further details.

The 15″ wire wheels are secured by three-eared knock-offs and are mounted with 205/70 Pirelli P5 tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear rotors.

The cabin was re-upholstered in 2025 and features tan vinyl trim over the front bucket seats as well as the center console, sills, and door panels. An Alpine AM/FM/CD stereo has been added along with a retrofitted R134a air conditioning system. Further appointments include a heater, a locking glovebox, and shoulder belts.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline as well as an analog clock and gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 32k miles, approximately 250 of which were added under current ownership. The seller tells us that total mileage is unknown.

The 4.2-liter inline-six was factory equipped with dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and rated at 246 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque when new. The seller tells us that the carburetors were tuned and an oil change was performed in 2025.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.

The Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Production Record Trace Certificate lists the factory colors and powertrain numbers.

The current California title lists the VIN as 1R10433 prepended by the sequence J69.
