I have a 1969 Jaquar XKE roadster for sale. It is in beautiful condition. Numbers matching 4 speed manual.
I purchased the jag 9 years ago. It needed paint but the rest of the car was in great shape. I had the car professionally re-painted properly i.e. all chrome, top etc. removed not a tape job. It really came out stunning.
The rest of the car I changed the engine oil (regularly), transmission oil and rear end oil replaced. The radiator was flushed and new coolant added. Brake lines were flushed and new brake fluid added. Clutch adjusted. New tires were fitted. Brakes work well including the manual brake. Carbs adjusted. Electronic ignition added. No rust
The car runs well. I have put only about 500 miles on it since I bought it. I have always stored the car covered in a heated garage at my house and never have driven it in the rain and certainly not in the snow. Just a fair-weather driver with the top down. It has never overheated. The car was always put away by November 1st and never taken out until May 1st. It looks so good that I rarely have I ever taken it out and not drawn a crowd. It’s got that great Jag exhaust rumble. The car is fitted with triple weber carbs. It is registered in New York state as a classic and passes annual New York State inspections.
It needs a new radio antenna which broke off this spring while I was taking the cover off.
It is because of my age that I’m even putting it up for sale. XKE’s are low slung cars and it’s becoming harder for me to get in and out of it. I am hoping for someone to purchase it and care for it as much as I have
Hemmings appraised it in January and set the value between 60,000 and 76,000 which seems about right. I am asking $65,000.00, I am happy to share the appraisal as well as many photos.
