This 1969 Jaguar XKE Series II coupe is said to have been repainted in its current red finish as part of a refurbishment completed circa 2018. The car is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six fitted with dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors, while shifting is through a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. It rides on 15″ knock-off wire wheels coupled with disc brakes at all four corners and is further equipped with a louvered clamshell hood, open headlights, and wraparound bumpers. Inside, black leather–trimmed seats are accompanied by a Blaupunkt AM/FM radio as well as Smiths instrumentation. Acquired by the selling dealer in 2026, this XKE coupe is now offered with a clean Michigan title.
The car was repainted red as part of the 2018 refurbishment. Exterior details include a louvered clamshell hood, sealed-beam open headlights, wraparound chrome bumpers, and dual exhaust outlets.
The 15″ wire wheels are secured by three-eared knock-offs and are mounted with 205/65 Dunlop SP Sport D8H tires. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear rotors.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in black leather along with a color-coordinated center console, door panels, and carpets. A Blaupunkt AM/FM radio is connected Pioneer speakers on either side of the central tunnel, and further interior appointments include air conditioning equipment, a locking glovebox, and hand-crank windows.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel is paired with a wood shift knob and fronts Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline as well as an analog clock and gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 80k miles.
The 4.2-liter inline-six was factory equipped with dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and rated at 246 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque when new. A tune-up was reportedly performed in 2023.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The selling dealer tells us that the drivetrain was rebuilt as part of the refurbishment project and that the clutch assembly was replaced in 2023.
The chassis plate is partially illegible. The current Michigan title lists the VIN as IR26374.
