Veloce Classic is delighted to offer this highly attractive Jaguar E-Type Series II Fixed Head Coupé 4.2, manufactured in August 1969 and originally delivered through British Leyland in New York, USA.
Finished in the elegant and highly desirable Pale Primrose Yellow, the car presents beautifully and perfectly captures the spirit of late-1960s British motoring. Originally supplied with a black interior, a previous owner elected to retrim the cabin in a lighter tan colour. The result is a tasteful and harmonious combination that complements the exterior exceptionally well while creating a brighter and more inviting cabin environment.
The car has benefited from an earlier restoration during its lifetime and continues to present extremely well today. Over the years, considerable attention has been devoted to both reliability and drivability, resulting in a well-sorted E-Type that is ready to be enjoyed.
Most notably, the engine has been upgraded with a triple Weber 45 DCOE carburettor conversion featuring open throttle bodies, significantly enhancing both throttle response and performance while preserving the character of the legendary XK engine. Additional upgrades include electronic ignition and a new water pump, ensuring improved reliability and ease of use in modern driving conditions.
Further mechanical work carried out by a Jaguar specialist includes the replacement of numerous engine gaskets, new engine bay fluid lines, refurbishment of the steering rack, replacement of suspension silent blocks, new engine mounts, and a replacement brake master cylinder fitted in 2023.
Complementing the engine upgrades is a full stainless-steel exhaust system, providing improved durability and a wonderful soundtrack befitting one of Britain's greatest sports cars.
The car is Italian registered in 2017 and successfully passed its Italian roadworthiness inspection (MOT equivalent) in March 2026. It is therefore fully sorted, road-ready, and prepared to be enjoyed immediately by its next custodian. Accompanying the vehicle is its official Jaguar Heritage Certificate, confirming its production details, original specifications, and delivery through British Leyland in New York, further enhancing the car's provenance and historical appeal.
Combining one of the most elegant colour combinations available, a desirable Fixed Head Coupé body style, sensible performance upgrades, and extensive recent mechanical attention, this E-Type represents a wonderful opportunity to acquire and enjoy one of the most iconic sports cars ever produced.
Offered for sale by Veloce Classic Italia, Padua, Italy.
