- UK Supplied, beautifully presented in timeless Signal Red
Offered here is an attractive UK-market Series III Roadster, first supplied by Williams Automobiles of Bristol on 8th January 1975 and accompanied by original documentation recording its delivery to its first owner in Bristol. Finished in the timeless combination of Signal Red with black leather upholstery, the car presents particularly well, its bright and glossy paintwork complementing an interior that retains a pleasing degree of authenticity and patina.
A matching-numbers example, this E-Type is fitted with the highly desirable manual transmission, giving full engagement with Jaguar's superlative 5.3 V12. The vendor advises that the car runs very well, with the engine delivering the smoothness, performance and effortless torque for which these cars are renowned. Naturally, the V12 soundtrack remains one of the model's most intoxicating attributes, better yet with the top down.
In the care of its late owner since 2008, the Jaguar has been cherished and enjoyed as intended. Documents and notes included in the car's substantial history file show photos and records of UK Tours, car show attendances and more, along with evidence of exemplary upkeep and maintenance from the original Handbooks, Service book and receipts and invoices.
Now showing just 37,733 miles on the odometer, backed up by a file of MOT certificates, it is presented in fine overall order mechanically and cosmetically, offering turnkey enjoyment, usability, originality and visual appeal. In readiness for its presentation to the market, the car has been serviced, with new oil, fluids and filters, in the last month.
The Series III Roadster represents the final chapter of the E-Type story and the ultimate expression of Jaguar's legendary sporting icon. Combining V12 power, manual transmission and matching-numbers provenance, this handsome example offers an enticing opportunity to acquire one of Britain's greatest grand touring cars.
