* The 15th right-hand drive 2+2 coupé built
* Present ownership since 1989
* Fully restored in the early 1990s
* Circa 11,000 miles since completion
The 15th right-hand drive 2+2 coupé built, this early Series 3 E-Type has belonged to the current vendor since 1989 (sales receipt on file). A comprehensive 'last nut and bolt' restoration commenced in 1992 and after dismantling, the bodyshell was restored, Waxoyled, and repainted in its original colour of Regency Red by Fullbridge Carriage Company Ltd of Malden, Essex. As a time-served motor engineer, the vendor restored the mechanicals himself. The Richard T Russ book E-Type V12 Guide to Authenticity was consulted throughout the restoration and used to maintain the car's original specification. Since the restoration's completion in March 1994, 'SKW 436J' has seen limited use, covering only some 11,000 miles in the last 25 years. A mileage history record is on file together with MoT certificates dating back to 1989, and the car also comes with sundry restoration bills and a V5 registration document.
Apart from annual maintenance, several major items have been replaced subsequently including the radiator, brake servo and master cylinder, clutch operating and master cylinders, SU carburettors (originally Strombergs), and the Pirelli tyres, all of which is detailed on the aforementioned mileage record. It is understood that the engine had been replaced in period.
Throughout the vendor's 30 years of ownership the car has been kept in an airtight dehumidified garage and has seen little use in the rain. Over the years the E-Type has been used mainly to attend various Jaguar Enthusiasts' Club events and shows, including weekends away combining events with holidays.

Sold by Bicester Sports and Classics of Aylesbury in August 2022. Amended seller's description below.
www.bicestersportscars.co.uk/car-sales/1971-jaguar-e-type-s3-v12-manual/
This is a lovely UK supplied example with manual gearbox, power steering and has been meticulously maintained to a high standard with invoices including ongoing reconditoning, all documented in the history file. A comprehensive and documented restoration was carried out in the mid 1990's by a Jaguar specialist and she has covered only 11,000 miles since and is beautifully presented today.
Finished in Regency Red from new with a Beige leather interior, she is a lovely car and superb to drive benefitting from the constant maintenance shining through, as she is very tight and quiet even at high speeds. She has only had five owners and has a Heritage Certificate. Supplied fully inspected and serviced with 12 months warranty.

SKW436J was manufactured on the 20th of October 1970 for the U. K. RHD Home Market, leaving the factory with manual transmission and in the beautiful colour combination of Regency Red with Beige upholstery. The car has covered just 74, 000 miles from new and by 1989 the V12 had totalled 52, 000 miles and came into the hands of a Mr F. W Clarke, a time-served engineer. Mr. Clarke carried out a detailed and thorough mechanical restoration to an incredibly high standard spanning two years whilst Fullbridge Restoration Company were commissioned to rebuild and repaint the body. Although an older restoration with a degree of originality, this V12 presents incredibly well as great testament to the high-quality workmanship.
The restoration was completed in 1994 and at this point the Jaguar was presented to a specialist for a valuation. Paperwork confirms the bodywork and mechanicals were in first-class/ concours condition and all these years on the car has an impressive appearance. Mr. Clarke wasted no time in enjoying his labour of love attending shows almost annually from 1995, collecting plaques which sit alongside the original service book, document pack, and a wealth of invoices in the file.
In 2009, the Stromberg carbs were upgraded to SU carbs supplied by Burlen Fuels. The 30-year ownership came to an end in 2019 having covered just 14, 000 miles since the restoration. More recently in 2025, the E-Type has been with a classic car specialist having a service, a new oil filter housing. antifreeze change, replacing an array of suspension bushes, replacing the differential output shaft seals, and a differential fluid change costing nearly £6, 000. With the recent refresh, taking this Jaguar V12 on the road is a true delight, the 5343cc V12 power plant pulls firmly, and the manual gearbox feels exceptionally fit. The OPUS electronic ignition and SU carbs ensure the smoothness of the ride is not compromising the ultimate GT experience of a Series III E-Type.
This has the feel of a very correct, original car in original colours, with superb paperwork. This is a high-quality example that is ready to use and enjoy.
