5.3L V12
VIN 1S51415
Lot #80327
managed Sale
Newbury, Berkshire, United Kingdom
Registration: UJW 868L
This Jaguar E-Type Series 3 V12 is an elegant classic sports car, finished in a tasteful colour combination and specified with a Webasto sunroof.
It is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.3-litre V12, delivering around 272bhp and 349lb-ft to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
The five-digit odometer indicates 61,765 miles, though this is not warranted.
EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES
This E-Type is finished in Solent Blue with a black Webasto sunroof over a black leather-trimmed cabin.
It rides on a set of polished 15-inch wheels, fitted with Pirelli tyres.
Equipment includes a three-spoke steering wheel, a locking glovebox, and a Motorola radio.
Accompanying the sale is the owner’s handbook, photographs of the car, various invoices, historic MOT certificates, and the spare wheel.
CONDITION
Invoices are visible in the photo gallery for various bodywork repairs, including a bare-metal respray in September 2020 following fire damage.
SERVICE HISTORY
The cam cover gasket, inlet manifold gasket, oil pressure sender switch, power steering pump, and two pedal rubbers were replaced in November 2024 by Coopersport.
In June 2024, Coopersport cut out, fabricated, and welded in a new right-hand floor well section, painted the front and rear floor wells and replaced the sound-deadening material, reassembled the front seats after the squabs were re-stitched, repaired a brake fluid leak, bled the brakes, adjusted the handbrake, replaced the clutch slave cylinder, fitted a new driver’s window regulator, replaced various steering and suspension parts, fitted a new distributor cap and rotor arm, checked and cleaned the HT leads, replaced the engine oil and filters, sealed various coolant leaks, repaired the screen washers and courtesy light, and renewed the exhaust rubber hangers.
Windsor Classics previously serviced the car in May 2021, during which time technicians also carried out bodywork repairs, stripped the boot area to bare metal before respraying it, stripped and overhauled the carburettors, replaced the fuel rubber hoses, and installed various new parts including the headlamp bowls, window regulator, and exhaust tailpipe.
