This 1972 Jaguar E-Type Series III 2+2 is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The car is finished in Pale Primrose over black leather, and features include four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, 15″ steel wheels, quadruple Zenith-Stromberg carburetors, a Blaupunkt AM/FM radio, and a heater. The owner inherited the car in 2020 and it is now offered on their behalf by the seller, a BaT Local Partner , with service records and a clean California title.
The car was refinished in Pale Primrose during previous ownership and features uncovered headlights, a forward-hinged louvered hood, a driver-side mirror, and quadruple exhaust outlets.
The 15″ steel wheels feature polished hubcaps and are mounted with 215/70 Dunlop Elite whitewall tires. The Series III E-Type was factory equipped with power steering, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with inboard-mounted rear rotors.
The 2+2 cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench seat upholstered in black leather as well as color-coordinated door panels. Interior amenities include a Blaupunkt AM/FM radio, a locking glovebox, and a heater.
The black leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline. An analog clock along with auxiliary gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 32k miles.
The 5.3-liter V12 was factory equipped with quadruple Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and was rated at 314 horsepower and 349 lb-ft of torque when new. The alternator was rebuilt in 2020, and the clutch hydraulics were serviced in April 2026.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
