Excellent and reliable driver. No rust. Mechanically and electrically very sound. Well maintained. Cosmetically good. 138,500 miles on a rebuilt motor, drive train, and suspension at about 95K miles. Front wheels are tubeless spokes. Rear wheels and spare are tube spokes. Tires are Oversized and in good condition. New starter, XJ6 alternator, magnetic ignition.
My Bucket list (Things I would have done if I had the time and money) Replace three tube wheels with tubeless. Re-attach good cloth top to top frame. Dye seats, or re-upholster. Clean engine compartment.

This outstanding 'Series II' XKE roadster from 1971 benefits from a recent conversion from the standard Zenith-Stromberg carburetors to the legendary triple 2-inch SU carburetor
setup as fitted to the more-powerful earlier 'Series I' XKE models. The entire conversion kit was purchased new from the classic Jaguar suppliers at SNG Barratt. The
Consignor also purchased a complete new interior and convertible top from OSJI, Original Specification Jaguar Interiors, professionally installed by the specialists at Goodwin Interiors in Reno, Nevada. Additionally, XKs Unlimited of San Luis Obispo, California recently performed an extensive amount of work to the engine and drive train for almost 19,000, confirmed by a copy of the invoice from them outlining the work done. The engine block is a matching numbers unit; however, the cylinder head was installed at some time in the past. An extensive history file documents the various repairs performed to the car and the parts that were used over the years. Also included in the offering of this highly desirable XKE are a parts book, owners' manual, workshop manual, and the original Zenith-Stromberg carburetor setup.

The new Jaguar was most likely delivered new to the US market. The comprehensive history file offered with this elegant Jaguar E-Type Roadster contains hundreds of receipts of professional restoration work, service and maintenance performed on the car, dating back to the 1990s. A new interior and convertible top - manufactured by OSJI and fitted by Goodwin interiors of Reno, NV - was fitted around 2014. The Jaguar specialists at XKs Unlimited of San Louis Obispo, California would carry out various mechanical work on the car around the same time, of which there are receipts for more than $18,000. Although no numbers appear visible on the engine, it carries the correct 4.2-Liter casting number as original to the car. Here we have a 1971 Jaguar E-type which represents the last year for the legendary straight six, as it would be replaced by the complex V12 later in the model year. Finished in gleaming Old English White, the Jag's body is straight and solid as is the underside and trunk. The various chrome and stainless-steel trim also presents very well and the convertible top appears to have been replaced recently, given its excellent condition. Further enhancing the car's curbside appeal is a set of knock-off wire wheels fitted with recent Cooper tires. The mostly restored interior looks great, with the French Blue upholstery and real wood steering wheel adding to the car's very special feel. Apart from the worn passenger's grab handle and missing driver's window winder knob, the interior is in overall excellent condition from the convertible top down to the carpet.
