Ebay item 9/4/10
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-XKE-1971-Jaguar-XKE-Roadster-Hard-Top-Conv ...
Current bid $15,500 reserve not met, 14 bids 8 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
Primrose Yellow exterior and black interior. With 39,709 original miles! As the second owner your getting a vehicle that has never been driven in the rain, never been driven in the snow, has been garage kept during my ownership. This is the hard top convertible plus the soft top option with Koni shocks, a stainless steel exhaust system, classic wire wheel's and a new heavy duty clutch. Engine was removed 5 years ago and had all necessary repairs done at that time. It has not been driven much since then. The interior and exterior are in excellent condition. There is some sprucing up that is needed in the interior but nothing major! There is a minor dent in the drivers side door along the bottom. Nothing to worry about but I never had it fixed, trying to keep this beauty as original as possible. There is very minor rust, as seen in the pictures, in all the areas that are notorious for Jag's of this era! This is a classy fun car to drive espically without the top!

Current bid $25,000 reserve not met, 1 bid 9 days left in auction. Car now said to be in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Sellers description:
Primrose Pale Yellow exterior and black interior. This is a 42 year old beauty with 39,709 original miles! As the second owner, purchased in 1973, your getting a vehicle that has never been driven in the rain, never been driven in the snow, has been garage kept during my ownership. This is the hard top convertible plus the soft top option - the factory hard top model is a very rare option! This car has Koni shocks, a stainless steel exhaust system, classic Jaguar wire wheel's and a new heavy duty clutch. Engine was removed 15 years ago for the clutch intstallation. It has not been driven since then. The interior and exterior are in excellent condition. There is some sprucing up that is needed in the interior but nothing major! This car is in very original condition. Minor cosmetic and clean up plus a good polishing then your good to go! This is a classy fun car to drive especially without the top!

Sold by Moss Jaguar of Letchworth in November 2025. Seller's description below.

www.mossjaguar.com/sold---1970-jaguar-e-type-series-2-42-rhd-ots-de.html

We are thrilled to offer another of our restored cars. This lovely ex US 1970 Series 2 OTS was commissioned by Moss Jaguar in 2017 and still looks as fresh as the day it was collected by the current owner over 8 years ago. Originally Pale Primrose with a Black interior, the car has been finished to a high standard.

With touring being the main use for the car, typical areas of reliability were addressed including changing the diff to 3.07, overhauling the engine to stage level 2 with a big valve cylinder head, reconditioned triple SU's and 4 speed synchromesh gearbox. Hoses were replaced with silicone, poly brushes used on the suspension and steering rack, and a Mangoletsi throttle conversion.

The car boasts sympathetic Motorsport upgrades such as an Ecosse stainless steel system, uprated quadoptic headlights, rear LED and reverse lights, and heated sports seats trimmed in Red leather to match the interior. Finally, the hood was fitted by Jaguar experts, MCT Restorations. The car is ready to use and enjoy.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
