Found a huge file of paperwork relating to my late father's series one 3.8 'E' type coupe.
The chassis and engine number were on various letters and documents, so thought I'd look it up and see if it still survives.
The 'E' type had an interesting first couple of years ownership by my father, with numerous faults and flaws being recorded. Within the documentation we even have two letters from (and signed by) Sir William Lyons.
After 3 years of ownership he exchanged it for a new 4.2 soft top.
