This Jaguar E-Type Series 1 3.8 FHC is a desirable and iconic British sports car, which reportedly benefits from a prior restoration.
It is powered by a 3.8-litre naturally aspirated petrol inline-six, driving the rear wheels via a four-speed manual gearbox.
First registered in the UK in 1963, this example is a UK-market car supplied via the Mann Egerton Jaguar dealer in Norwich.
The odometer shows 37,844 miles, though this is not warranted.
It is finished in a vibrant red over a black leather-trimmed interior.
Equipment includes a wood-rim steering wheel, manual windows, and early type bucket seats.
The car has also been fitted with a 4.2-litre synchromesh gearbox upgrade.
It is accompanied by a significant number of invoice receipts, old MOT test certificates, a brand new complete rear boot floor, a driver's side floor assembly, a high torque starter motor, and one key.
Specific notes from the seller include: according to the documentation, the vehicle has had a body-off repair and full respray. The history file also indicates that the bonnet has been replaced with a Jaguar Heritage Parts item.
The car evidently had significant mechanical refurbishment in 1989-1991, with a documented overhaul of the engine, as well as the front and rear suspension.
