Lovely - perfect! Original and very early.....
If at all for sale, I would seek my last pocket for such a car.
What a dream!
Good luck with a hopefully very careful restoration!

Earliest JAGUAR E Type - Best Classic Car You Can Buy For Investment And Fun
This is a rare, possibly once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to discover one of the earliest Jaguar E-Types to come onto the market in many years — and one of the most authentically restored examples in existence. Finished in its beautiful and highly desirable Opalescent Dark Green with a perfectly executed no-compromise restoration, this car represents the purest expression of the E-Type’s very first days. In this long-format discussion, I sit down with renowned E-Type specialist Angus Moss, whose workshop is one of the most respected in the UK for this single model. Together we explore what makes the earliest cars fundamentally different, why this particular example stands apart, and how its restoration meets the highest standard of originality and craftsmanship. For collectors, historians, and enthusiasts, this is a deep and honest look at a car that embodies the beginning of the E-Type legend — a car restored as faithfully as possible, and now available through private offer. An unrepeatable chance to own one of the earliest surviving E-Types in one of its most iconic color combinations.

Chassis 875039 is one of the rarest, matching numbers E-Types available being one of the first 500 outside bonnet latch cars. Boasting only 5 previous owners, it has been beautifully restored and is available immediately for either driving, showing or becoming part of an important collection.
Presented in Opalescent Dark Green with a Tan leather interior, Chassis 39 has been restored to the highest, detailed specification we have seen. The project began with a complete car and as such, as much of the original has been retained. The car comes with over 3000 detailed photographs of pre and post restoration. Extensive research was carried out by the current custodian to ensure the correct fastenings were fitted along with correct date stamped components.
As you would expect, the engine, gearbox and rear axle are all original along with all the correct components. This is an extremely rare opportunity to own a car that would cost in excess of £400k to restore to this level commercially. For collectors, historians, and enthusiasts, this is a deep and honest look at a car that embodies the beginning of the E-Type legacy — a car restored as sympathetically as possible, and now available through private offer. An unrepeatable opportunity to own one of the earliest surviving E-Types in one of its most desirable colour combinations.
