I sold this vehicle in 1976. Purchased with blown head gasket, and a rotted floor board on right side, due to leaking roof. I replaced the interior with vinyl and yes I am the one who put the fiberglass on the floor. Sold in 1976 for $1,700. It was in good running condition with no other rust except the floor on pass side. No dents or dings. front grill bar was missing when purchased. The head was shaved and valves replaced. Was going overseas and had to sell this and my austin healey

For sale at Hilton and Moss Sportscars of Bishop's Stortford for £299,950. Abbreviated seller's description below.

    www.hiltonandmoss.com/stock/details1964-jaguar-e-type-semi-lightweight/591084

An opportunity to acquire a Semi-Lightweight, a car that bridges the elegance of the road going E Type with the competition Jaguars of the lightweight programme. Inspired by the factory lightweights that dominated GT racing, the semi-lightweight specification elevates the E Type into a focused machine, reflecting the specification for pre 1966 competition by the FIA. Weight reduction is key with aluminium body panels and an aluminium engine block with wide angle head providing the biggest gains with bumpers removed and flared rear arches to accommodate wider rear rear wheels and tyres for additional grip.

Power comes from the iconic 3.8 litre XK straight six, paired with triple Weber DCOE carburettors. Bigger brakes with improved cooling are fitted to ensure the car stops as well as goes. Finished in all white wrap over the bare aluminium body. A carbon fibre Tillet race seat with 6 point Schroth harness is fitted with vital parameters monitored by Racetech gauges and there is a Lifeline fire extinguisher. This car was constructed by Valley Motorsport as the ultimate lightweight for competition.

The car is exceptionally quick finishing 11th in the Le Mans Classic in 2023. The car also ran the full 2022 Peter Auto Sixties endurance season, finishing 2nd in the championship, and winning at Mugello in 2024. Recently the car has had a refresh at Hilton and Moss including carburettors rebuild, dash top replacement, new distributor cap and splash shield. The car is ready for the track with FIA HTP papers under Period F until 2030. The engine, gearbox and diff have just completed a comprehensive refresh at Valley Motorsport. This semi-lightweight offer a highly engaging package for the circuit.
