According to its Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate, this Jaguar was manufactured on December 18, 1963 and delivered to Jaguar Cars New York. It was sold to Fleischman Car Leasing on January 8, 1964. The next owner of record was Francis Koo of Troy, NY, who then sold the car to Peter Wrisley of New Hampshire in 1972. Thirteen years later, in 1985, ownership passed over to Mr. Wrisleys uncle, Donald Hatch. However it was purchased back by Wrisley in 1992 and remained there until it was sold to the current owner in 2004.

The car was subject to a bare metal respray in 1995. An authentic re-trim of the interior in the correct original color hides was also performed at this time. A new top with shot-filed canvas was installed to prevent high speed buffeting. The paint job still shows well today though there are some minor indications of its age.

In the early 2000s the suspension was completely torn down and crack tested. All bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends, steering column u-joints, torsion bars, shocks and coils were all renewed, mostly with upgraded components. Adjustable coil over shocks and stiffer sway bars and mounts were all fitted at this time, and the rear axle u-joints were replaced along with the timing chain and engine seals.

Importantly this E-Type includes a rare original factory hard top, arguably one of the best looking hard tops offered for a car of this era. When fitted to the car it is transformed into a striking GT coupe. Made of light weight Fiberglas the hard top is relatively easy to manage and can be removed with minimal effort.

It goes without saying that this is an expertly prepared and well-presented machine. It has been lovingly maintained and stored in a climate controlled facility for the last decade. It is offered in ready to use condition from a very good home.

The Car - One of the best things about the Jaguar E-types is that they look good in just about any color, but most befitting colors for this design has to be Carmen Red, the hue of choice for this 1964 3.8-Liter version. Red is such a pretty color, especially when traveling at speed. The matching bucket seats have received the same treatment as well as the very rare removable hard top. The new soft top has been done in a conventional black and really compliments the entire look of the open two-seater. Under the hood that Jaguar engine has been rebuilt and detailed to show-car condition, with each of those SU carburetors acting like crown jewels. The wood-rimmed steering wheel looks so inviting and for the pilot of this car, the original white-on-black Smith's gauges are clean, clear, functioning and easy to read. The only non-factory element we spotted was the up-graded AM-FM-CD player mounted neatly in the dashboard. This car has retained almost all of its factory sheet metal and even its original serial number/data plate which lists the numbers for the chassis, engine, transmission and more. Riding on a set of chrome knock-off wire wheels, this E-type sits level with all trim, door, deck and hood panels lining up as new. Turn-key for the enjoyment of the road or enjoyment on the show field, all this E-type need is you.

This 1964 Jaguar XKE is a Series I roadster that was manufactured on December 18, 1963, and originally delivered to Jaguar Cars of New York. It was acquired in 2017 by the selling dealer and is said to have undergone a refurbishment in 1995. The numbers-matching 3.8-liter inline-six is paired with a five-speed manual transmission, and the car is finished in red over matching leather. Equipment includes a black soft top, a removable body-colored hardtop, chrome bumpers, 15” wire wheels, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and a Sony cassette stereo. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission, which was added under prior ownership. The removed four-speed transmission is included in the sale.

This 1964 Jaguar XKE is a Series I roadster that was manufactured on December 18, 1963 and was refurbished in the mid-1990s. It was acquired by the seller on BaT in September 2021, and its 3.8-liter inline-six was rebuilt in 2026. The car is finished in Carmen Red over red leather and is equipped with a five-speed manual transmission, a black soft top, a removable body-colored hardtop, 15” wire wheels, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and a Sony cassette stereo. This XKE is offered with a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, service records, the removed four-speed transmission, additional spare parts, and a Washington title in the seller’s name.

This example left the factory finished in Carmen Red and was repainted during the aforementioned refurbishment. Equipment includes a black soft top, a body-colored removable hardtop, a driver-side mirror, a louvered clamshell hood, triple windshield wipers, and quad exhaust outlets.

The 15″ wire wheels are secured by two-eared knock-offs and are mounted with Pirelli 4000 tires measuring 205/70. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear rotors. The brake calipers, pads, and master cylinders were replaced in 2025.

The cockpit features fixed-back bucket seats that have been re-trimmed in red leather, and matching upholstery extends to the door panels, center console, and shifter boot. Features include a leather-wrapped shift knob, three-point seatbelts, a Sony cassette stereo, Pioneer speakers, and black floor mats with red piping.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset clock. The speedometer was rebuilt in July 2026, and the five-digit odometer shows 54k miles, approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership.

The 3.8-liter inline-six features triple SU carburetors and was factory rated at 265 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The engine was rebuilt between 2025 and 2026 by Autosport of Seattle, Washington, and records from the work are provided in the gallery. A Pertronix distributor was installed at that time and the carburetors were synced and adjusted.

Engine block stamping RA4734-9 is shown above, and a corresponding number is stamped on the cylinder head and shown on both the chassis plate and Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate.

A five-speed manual transmission was installed under prior ownership along with a a Stainless Brothers exhaust system. The clutch hydraulic cylinders were replaced in March 2025.

The Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate lists factory colors, identification numbers, and a manufacture date of December 18, 1963.

The Washington title lists “Antique” and a prior “Classic” notation under the brands section
