My father bought this car in the late 70's and began restoration sometime in the 80's. But with 5 kids and a job he wasn't able to complete the car. Unfortunately, he died unexpectedly in July 2005. Right after he died, I decided to have the car restored in his memory. Restoration began in September 2006. I will input the engine and gear box numbers soon.

MaryAnn, I'm sure he'd be very pleased at the prospect of the car being back on the road. It'll be a beautiful memorial when it's done!

Sellers description:
This 1964 XKE 3.8 Roadster had been in the same family since the 70's until I purchased it recently. In 2007 a complete restoration was completed and very few miles have been put on it since then. Receipts are available for your inspection and come with the car. All matching numbers car in excellent restored condition. The color is cream with red leather interior and comes with Heritage Trust certificate. Everything matches the certificate.
This is a beautiful car restored using the best materials. I could list everything but I think the pictures should speak for themselves.

This particular 1964 Series I is finished in its original color combination of Crème with a red leather interior and black canvas top. The E-Type is equipped with its original 3.8-liter inline six-cylinder engine that is mated to a four-speed manual transmission. The car is complete with a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate (JDHT), in addition to being fitted with chrome knock-off wire wheels shod with blackwall tires and features a Blaupunkt AM/FM radio and spare in the boot. It was restored in 2006 and presents very nicely and is reported to run and drive “very well.”
