Built on 1 November 1962, this icon of design underwent a complete and meticulous restoration between 2015 and 2018, driven by a vision of perfection and excellence. In 2015, the owner of a restoration workshop acquired this car requiring complete restoration. The car was then dismantled and the body sent to England where it was rebuilt with many new panels using original techniques. An all aluminium bonnet was installed and the engine reconditioned. In 2016 it was sold to a new owner who undertook to complete the work.

Its new owner then sent the body, front chassis and aluminium bonnet to Italy to prefect the finishes and paint the car Opalescent Silver Grey. Back in France the car was reassembled and sent to an upholstery workshop where the seats were retrimmed in lambskin. The work was completed in 2018 and the owner drove it regularly with several round trips to Italy however the Getrag gearbox did not suit him and the engine was capricious. In 2023 it was decided to rebuild the original engine, replacing the liners and pistons and install a new Tremac 5 speed gearbox.

When it came out of the garage the result was perfect in every way! Today this Series 1 fixed head coupe is simply exceptional. Restored by the best European craftsmen it is rare to see an example like this. The improvements include aluminium bonnet, a weight saving of about 40kg, unleaded fuel head, large flow oil pump, 5 speed Tremec gearbox, modern diaphragm clutch, high torque starter, alternator, high performance aluminium radiator, additional fan, electronic ignition, stainless steel manifold and exhaust system, Coopercraft 4 piston front brakes, Dunlop competition spoken wheel, H4 type headlights.
