This E-Type was fully restored by a specialist shop from 2018 until December 2025. The restoration is extensively documented with numerous photos. The car was painstakingly rebuilt from the ground up, always with a focus on refurbishing original parts. All work was performed by a specialist shop that specializes in restoring Jaguar E-Types. Over 40,000 euros were invested solely in purchasing all missing or irreparable parts. All invoices for every newly purchased part are available, as are all invoices from specialized shops (complete engine overhaul, paintwork, etc.). Countless work hours were invested in the vehicle to fully restore it. When the restoration was completed in December 2025, it was necessary to wait for better weather test drive the engine. To date, the E-Type has been driven approximately 500 km since this past spring, carefully and in good weather. It has a German H registration with a new TÜV (MOT) inspection. Furthermore, several technical upgrades were incorporated during the restoration, such as the installation of a fully overhauled transmission from the 4.2 L variant of the first-series E-Type to enable completely silent shifting. A temperature-controlled auxiliary fan was also installed. The steering wheel has a slightly smaller diameter to ensure that even taller drivers can sit comfortably. In addition, a stainless-steel exhaust manifold has been installed in conjunction with a “Big Bore” exhaust system. This system has a slightly larger diameter, thereby accelerating the flow of exhaust gases. A high-performance starter motor and a high-performance alternator have also been installed. This highly sought-after first series E-Type is ready to hit the road for its next drive.
