The car was originally red, which one, I do not know. It is now black.

Seller states: This 1970 left-hand drive example was originally dispatched to the British Leyland distributor in New York. It was imported to the UK, where it was entrusted to Hawk Classics for a multi-phase restoration. Over £116,000 was paid towards the work before Hawk Classics ceased trading in late 2025 and subsequently entered liquidation.
The engine, gearbox, interior, wiring, and wheels remain uninstalled or incomplete, and the vehicle is offered as-is in its current partially assembled state. This is an opportunity for a specialist or enthusiast to acquire a Series 2 E-Type project with documented provenance and significant prior investment. The quality of work up to this point would appear to be very high, offering an excellent starting point for what will, with continued investment, be an exceedingly fine restored example.
