23,732 miles, on ebay 09/09, seller writes: We are pleased to offering for sale a wonderful 1972 Jaguar V-12 E-Type. This is a documented 23,732 original miles car. A car of this caliber rarely comes on the open market. It is a collectors dream, as it is properly equipped with a 5.4 litre V-12 engine and manual transmission, chrome wire wheels and air conditioning system that works. The car has been extremely well maintained. Always garaged of course, and never exposed to any winter weather. We are very experienced with the V-12 E Types and to insure the best driving performance and we have spent 200+ hours to bring the car back to better than showroom cosmetic and mechanical condition. We have made it a trouble free drivable car. Very elegant and attractive in the rare original Willow Green color with tan interior. I am sure there are no better cars for this money.

* Largely original example, showing just over 40,000 miles, believed to be original
* Enthusiast owned and regularly serviced example
* The final evolution of the legendary E-Type
Offered here is a desirable 1972 Jaguar E-Type Series III Roadster, retaining its original V12 engine. Finished in elegant Willow Green over a Beige leather interior, the car presents in one of the model's most attractive and period-correct color combinations. There is a popular belief that the founder of Jaguar Cars, Sir William Lyons, favorite color was Willow Green. The understated sophistication of the exterior is complemented by the warm leather cabin, creating a specification that perfectly suits the refined character of Jaguar's flagship open sports car.
Displaying just 40,642 miles at the time of cataloging, this Series III benefits from what appears to be remarkably modest use over its lifetime. This mileage is believed to be real, showing this example is largely original. The exterior patina further enhances its appeal, preserving an important element of authenticity that discerning collectors continue to value. Fitted with the desirable manual transmission, the driver can enjoy a much more engaging experience. This Roadster clearly shows it has been cared for its entire life. Most recently the car has been enthusiast owned, regularly maintained, displayed at shows and even attended road rallies. This XKE will be accompanied by a history folder containing receipts and other documents. Surely a wonderful opportunity to own the final iteration of the XKE, in one of the most desirable color combinations and very low mileage.
