Ownership Company Registered
This Jaguar E-Type Series 3 V12 2+2 FHC is an elegant yet potent classic British grand tourer, which has been enhanced with a custom interior and modern coilover suspension.
It is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.3-litre V12, driving the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission.
This original Japan-delivered ‘Shin-Toyo Motors’ example was first registered in July 1974, and has only recently been acquired by the seller.
The odometer indicates 34,210 km, though this is not warranted.
Equipment and features
This E-Type Series 3 V12 2+2 FHC is finished in a timelessly stylish shade of black, over a custom retrimmed interior, now featuring tan leather and dark blue Alcantara upholstery.
It rides on a set of 15-inch chrome cross-spoke wire wheels fitted with Bridgestone Regno tyres.
Equipment includes a three-spoke steering wheel, push-out rear quarter light windows, Smiths gauges, a Kienzle analogue clock, dashboard rocker switches, and an air conditioning system.
This example has been fitted with an Auto Meter Sport-Comp fuel level gauge, Aragosta adjustable coilover suspension, and a stainless steel exhaust system.
Accompanying the car are a Japanese registration document, a service history booklet, and two keys.
Condition
Specific notes from the seller include: minor age-related exterior blemishes, and the interior has been extensively retrimmed, with only light signs of use to the upholstery and Alcantara surfaces.
The most recent Japanese roadworthiness inspection was completed in February 2020, with no advisories reported by the seller.
Service history
The seller states that the last maintenance was carried out in May 2024 at an indicated 34,095 km by a classic car specialist in Japan, comprising routine servicing and inspection work, carburettor adjustment and tuning, fuel and ignition system inspections, an engine oil and filter change, and a general drivetrain health check.
The seller states that previous maintenance records show routine inspections and engine oil services, with particular attention paid to carburettor tuning and cooling-system upkeep.
Since the seller acquired the vehicle, it is reported to have undergone a comprehensive health check and detailing programme, while being stored in a climate-controlled environment.
