EBay item 1/4/24
www.ebay.com/itm/386558076126
Opening bid $74,625, reserve not met 0 bids, 6 days left in auction, buy it now price $99,500, seller westcoastclassics, miles not reported

Seller's description:
West Coast Classics are proud to present an absolutely exceptional and very rare barn-fresh (garage really!) find of a virtually completely original in its original striking 'Silver' factory paint and with its all original classic 'Red' leather interior 1973 Jaguar XKE E-Type V12 Series III Roadster with original folding soft top, air conditioning, power steering, AM radio, and reportedly boasting low original miles !

A completely rust free example of this coveted penultimate year of the legendary E-Type Jaguar, still boasting the very desirable factory small chrome bumpers, before the ugly 1974 big rubbers, and with its original matching #'s V12 engine, its original and very desirable 4 speed manual transmission and with all of it's original factory specifications and options including original Red leather interior, AM radio, power steering and air conditioning!

This is a very rare factory 4 speed and air conditioned car and this beauty still boasts all five original chrome 'knock off' wire wheels and its original spare chrome wire wheel in the trunk and original convertible top.

Recently purchased from the car's long term owner and a car which was owned and stored for many years in his obviously climate controlled storage facility. The car's engine runs as smooth as silk and the 4 speed transmission shifts smoothly through the gears and the car drives exactly as it should with such low original miles.

The car has no rust whatsoever with the floor boards and all the typical rust-prone areas completely original, solid and rust-free! The car has no signs of any accidents of any kind and has a razor straight body. The car looks extremely impressive in it's original color paint and the car still boasts it's original Red color leather interior with the door panels, dashboard, seats and carpets all in very fine condition. The original soft top is in great shape and the factory chrome wire wheels are also in beautiful condition and the car has it's original spare wire wheel located in the trunk which of note has its all original wood trunk lining and the spare wheel compartment is all in remarkably intact and all original unspoilt condition.

This is a rare opportunity to own a completely rust free example of an obviously always garaged and virtually completely stock 1973 Jaguar XKE V12 Series III Roadster with its original matching #'s engine and 4 speed manual transmission with power steering and air conditioning and leather seats in very fine condition throughout with low original miles!

Classic Showcase is pleased to offer this 1974 Jaguar E-Type Series 3 Roadster, recently improved through a comprehensive program of cosmetic and mechanical work designed to enhance both presentation and drivability. Most notably, this example has been converted to Euro-style bumpers and overriders, a distinctive upgrade that gives the car a far cleaner and more elegant appearance by echoing the more refined look of earlier E-Type models. This important visual transformation is complemented by selective paint blending followed by wet-sanding and buffing, detailed britework polishing, and careful attention to the engine compartment and boot, all of which contribute to the Roadster’s highly attractive overall presentation.

The interior has also been substantially renewed and now presents far beyond a simple refresh. Rather than merely cleaning or improving the existing cabin, the car received a newly trimmed interior with reupholstered seats, new carpets, newly fabricated and installed interior door panels, door tops with squeezes and rubbers, new armrests, restored convertible top bows, and a new British-grain vinyl top. The result is a far more complete and cohesive interior environment that better suits the quality and character of the car as a whole.

Mechanically, this Series 3 has been thoroughly sorted as well. Recent work includes the installation of a new clutch, removal and service of the rear end, a full brake service with new rotors, hoses, and pads, new ball joints and suspension bushings, a restored radiator assembly and cooling fans, service to the electrical system, a tune-up, fluid and filter changes, and the installation of a new stainless-steel exhaust system with the correct hangers and install kit. The car also rides on four new Vredestein 205/70-15 tires, mounted and balanced.

Finished in a striking Silver over Red color combination and equipped with factory air conditioning and a 4-speed transmission, this 1974 Jaguar E-Type Series 3 Roadster now presents as a well-sorted, highly distinctive, and very usable V12 E-Type. With its standout Euro-style bumper and overrider conversion, renewed interior, and extensive servicing, it offers an appealing opportunity for the enthusiast seeking a refined and visually improved example of Jaguar’s final E-Type evolution!
