Auction description/result:

Lot # 260 1967 Jaguar XKE SI

4.2 Roadster; S/N 1E15747; Indigo Blue/Grey leather, Dark Blue cloth top; Estimate $70,000 - $90,000; Recent restoration,

2 condition; Hammered Sold at $93,500 -- Tool kit, maintenance handbook, Thor hammer, chrome wire wheels, wide white walls, wood steering wheel, CD player. New interior very nice but a little dirty. Engine compartment compulsively detailed and polished. Very good paint and chrome. A fine example freshly restored to the highest standards. No Reserve. Buyers are out there, ready to pay top dollar for the very shiniest cars, and restorers are ready to provide the cars and take their money. It's called "business" and this is how it's done.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
