I have been a Jaguar fan since I was a child. I bought a 1969 FHC last May.

i live in bielefeld, germany, near hannover. i bought the jag last summer after long searching. i bought it from a ill man, who storaged it 1986! i woke it up last october( after 20 years !!!) and since february it is on the road again! drives very well and makes a lot of fun!!!

I developed a passion for E-Type Jaguars as a teenager and spent the early part of my career in the motor trade. To me the E-Type is the most beautiful car ever built.

22nd Jag owned. Most were E-types. Oldest 1958 Mk VIII. Newest - 1999 XJR.

LOVE Jaguars! Own not only XKE OTS, but also a 69 XKE Coupe 2+2, 69 MK 240, 57 XK 140, & 83 XJ6 VP. The XKE OTS was in excellent condition before restoration. There was an extremely small amount of rust in the car. In 7 years of ownership, the car has been trouble-free. "She" is driven weekly!

I live in Columbia, SC where I practice architecture. This is the second E-Type for me and I have owned this one for about 5 years. I drive the car weekly and daily in nice weather. My immediate objective is to keep the car in first class driveable condition. The car is all original with about 60,000 miles. As far as I can tell this may be the last existing imported car of this model.

I'm a retired building contractor who is doing what he was happy doing when he was 16 rebuilding British sports cars.

I have owned by E type OTS for 33 years. It had a complete restoration in the 1990s. The is the very last E type built at the factory in calendar year 1961.

The car is restored in 1992. The color is dark blue. Since 2008 it is slowly improved. Electric power steering, 5 speed gearbox and 123 ignition. A new tan trim is put this winter.

Retired chemistry professor, drove first E-Type during graduate school. Have had a 1997 XK-8 since it was new, bought this 1963 FHC (Series 1, 3.8 L) in 2000. Dismantled it, began restoration in 2000, 2001. Engine and rear end rebuilt by Terry Lippincott in Sinking Spring, PA. I'm resuming the restoration, now led by Paul Tsikuris in Kathleen, FL.

My father had this maroon S1.5 FHC imported from Arizona in 1989. He subsequently had it converted to RHD and triple SU carbs. I have recently taken responsibilityfor the car after a period of neglect. I am doing a rolling restoration program tackling jobs as they arise. As a newcomer to all this I appreciate help and advice from E Type specialists and afficionados on technical issues.

Un-Restored Beauty": Flat Floor / Welded Louvres / Side Bonnet Locks shown in the "Jaguar E-Type Restoration Guide" about 50 Times!! Impressive to say the Least!! Looking for some "Orig. Early Door Panel Photos": Mine "Does Not" have the 2 Chrome strips?? Orig.this way??

I bought 861023 in November 2014 and it's having a full restoration to get back on the road for Summer 2016. The first owner was Paul de Ferranti Craddock Pycroft who raced the car and won trophies in 1963 and 1964. He was also the winner of the first ever race at Goodwood in 1948 - also driving a Jaguar. This E-type was one of only 76 to be supplied with a close ratio gear box (confirmed by JDHT) and that might suggest why it was built in November 1962 but not registered until March 1963 when E-types were in high demand. The CR option would have cost more and was only sought after by people like race drivers. Original colour combination was Opalescent Dark Blue with red interior. This is the same as 1 VHP used by Henlys as a demonstrator. It's been suggested that 861023 may also have been used as a demonstrator while waiting for a buyer. It was originally registered in Anglesey where the first registration was sold on in the early days.
